The floppy discs made today are absolute bottom-of-the-barrel crap which barely work out of the box, never mind 5 or 10 years down the line. I only buy NOS Dysan disks.

CD and DVD media are sadly going the same way. Luckily I recently managed to pick up probably the last 600 genuine Taiyo Yuden JVC discs for sale in the UK. Still, I often wake up in a cold sweat thinking about what I'm going to do when I run out...

It's funny anon. Recently I've been getting chewed out on here for continuing to use discjuggler in preference to imgburn+extension.

Thing is it's always worked perfectly, even on supposedly sub-standard media. These days I exclusively use JVC/TY discs though, more for longevity than anything else.

Does anyone know if pic related is the real deal i.e Taiyo Yuden rather than CMC?
