chrono cross sucks. the ost is great in some parts but the main battle theme is terrible on the play station and is too chaotic for higher quality sound. even the RD version is much better. CC fails critically where an RPG shouldn't. There are only a few characters that have actual substance in their story, the link between CC and CT is an easter egg, element system with 'field effect' was horse shit and didn't make for a good "EX" in combat. the fact that damage scales like shit as you level up leaves you feeling empty as you progress and youre trying to figure out what makes the game 'good' or why you're even playing it. its funner to walk around in the game then it is to actually do things and progress, and thats a problem. the 3d models are fantastic and the character VISUAL DESIGN is incredible but lacking in every other department. One day I'll smash my copy with a hammer and blend it into a nice goop, mix it with some diesal and pour it in my car's gas tank, cause its not doin' much else for my life.
