it makes perfect sense, the megaman games were worse than the nes ones, the arcade conversions were crap, final fight 2 and 3 were crap, good troop was crap, the miky games were not that good, the street fighter ports were pitiful compared to the arcade. Then when after 16 bit they started with megaman 8 and resident evil, much better than the 16 bit console games.
