So... does SEGA give a fuck If I use music from Shining Force 3 for a cartoon I'm making for newgrounds? We can all see that they've thrown the "Sonic The Hedgehog" assets to the wolves but i've heard of the shining copyright purges from about half a decade ago. I couldn't find any recent information about this and since they obviously don't give a damn about those old "Sonic The Hedgehog" assets, I figured maybe they just don't care anymore. Any legal information or even any anecdotal and precedential info would help, as the most recent information on the topic I could find was from 2013.

Sorry but I seriously don't know what makes it so different from other common Sega Genesis soundtracks. I can understand games like Streets of Rage or Earthworm Jim, but not this one.

Before this thread gets invaded by console wars: Is there any major retro company that didn't do any kind of censorship or anti-consumer stuff?
