Lock on targeting is brilliant because it turns it into a 3D fighter where you can perform various moves (vertical, horizontal, stab, shield, dodge, automated item use such as aiming arrows, stealing with hookshot, etc) and you can context switch to another target, and the camera finds a suitable view for that type of enemy. Skeletons are behind the back a bit, birds at a distance are in profile and zoomed out. It's all quite well designed.
