The terrible framerates of many older games highlight how modern hardware and software (as in, emulators) makes today the best time to enjoy old games, either replaying them or enjoying them for the first time. While naturally many titles can't be fixed but those that run uncapped and don't have timing issues at higher refresh rates get the advantage of having monstrous modern chips thrown at them to get around these issues that OG hardware cannot overcome. Low framerates have virtually always been tolerated for pushing out the visual envelope (hence where the more modern 24fps is enough meme comes from).

I wish I could not found out but I couldn't get the game to run for more than a minute without crashing (hence the stretched image as I was just testing) but it sure as fuck ran faster than 25fps even just by eyeballing it.

Well I patched it and for the 30 seconds it ran I got this so it looks doable. Obviously the aspect ratio is fucked because i'm not trying to keep it correct just for this testing.
