Hail to the king! The best fansite still going on. They're also advertising dukemaps.net on their frontpage, which is a new fansite for douk fan maps. I think it's time for me to finally learn how to make my own maps.

- yes, but. it was one of the first, so things that seem obvious to us now were still being discovered. There was no player-run manufacturing, income was a fixed amount provided by the state (an "allowance") and income dwarfed consumption. Inflation was a huge problem. You'd think the MMOs that followed would have learned from Habitat, but hell no, too many MMO designers don't bother to read about their own chosen career.
