N64
>best for multiplayer
>best first party support
>most stable 3D
>zero load times
>no 2D allowed
>garrish colours for some reason, no matter the game
>smeared graphics in three steps: textures, edges and resolution
>probably the worst audio out of a Nintendo console other than GBA

PSX
>best for single player
>best library overall
>best 3D joystick by far, until the rubber starts to ooze
>wibbly wobbly polygons
>shit 2D

Saturn
>best 2D
>best to mine for JP-only titles to supplement your nihongo lessons
>best lighting in 3D (from subjective experience)
>trash draw distance though and without fog to cover it up
>low texture resolution, but without the benefit of antialiasing à la 64
>do you enjoy quads? cause there's quads

For fifth gen, you have to find the charm in its rough as shit 3D if you hope to have any fun.
