Fuck off. "Simple" for mass production means either few or many interchangable parts, which are cheap to make for their number.
MS is a company with a history of pushing out stuff, not making it refined or making it work. That still reflected in their product line to this day, and will still be for fucking ages unless they fall on hard times.
