So I've been wondering, why did Capcom decide to go back to pre-rendered backgrounds, when the original Dino Crisis proved they could do a great looking game with fully rendered environments? Not only did RE3 after this continue the pre-rendered trend, but Dino Crisis 2 opted for that as well. I get that rendering a jungle back on the PS1 wasn't exactly feasible, but they could have changed the setting.
