I didn't really want to start a CRT thread over in /g/ but I wanted to share.

Found a VX900 (image from google) curb shopping today, the older CRT I was using popped a CAP but it wasn't really worth keeping so I went looking for another. Might be getting a few 22" flatscreen NEC monitors in a few days, previous owner used them for CAD work.

Anywho for something more on topic, Had KV11CR trinitron and a few systems modded for RGB out via DE-15 connectors but didn't play them anymore so sisters husband got 'em.

It kind of annoys me that top end pc CRT'S can't be fully utilized with the 400MHZ RAMDAC on most modern cards. 144hz with CRU is a dream at more modern resolutions. It's also a damn shame that less and less cards have multiple analog outputs through DVI or not and more and more don't have any AT ALL like the 290x. Mid tier cards tend to have at least one still but its only a matter of time.
