The fuck am I reading? There's only one option for autoaim in gzdoom under Player Setup. Just turn it off completely to the left.

What's the secret to Quake bunny-hopping so I can HUUH all over maps? Every video I watch, it looks like players are using a very-low mouse setting (what seems like low sensitivity but high acceleration), and that looks like it requires a large mousepad and for you to throw your mouse around, which I don't have the space for either. Everyone in videos I've watched shows you the keys to press, but not the other settings for your mouse. I've used the default settings all my life and couldn't get the precise turns that I've been watching.

what is everyones opinion of freedoom2? i thought the first freedoom was mediocre, that levels basically occupied slots just for compatibility. but today i loaded up freedoom2 to test smoothdoom with it and have been pleasantly surprised thusfar. the level design is fun and coherent, the enemy encounters are thoughtful, even the music sounds better (and rather catchy at that). i was having so much fun i didnt even care that smoothdoom was obviously breaking compatibility with sprites. it is pretty easy, though im on hurt me plenty, it feels about right with doom 2, i am rather impressed

The custom endscreens in Guncaster come across as a bit cheesy. But it's a cool idea and nice attention to detail though, surprised more 'character' mods don't do that.

Quake launched in 1996.
Matrix hits the cinema in 1999.
A lot of enemies in Quake should be killed by meticulously dodge projectiles while counterattacking.
Matrix did the same thing but in a punkass way.
