I was talking about the speakers being shielded to prevent EMI from leaking out.

The PVMs/BVMs have shielding on their chassis but they is not impervious to magnetic distortions.

I see this all the time on my BVMS when I turn them on. They're vertically stacked so when I turn the 2nd one on, the degaussing coil effect is also briefly visible on the 1st. Granted, they are at point-blank chassis spacing (and I should probably look into getting a spacer that wouldn't block the vents).
