thanks dudesters.

Just finished it, what a cool game. I don't remember if I played all of Metroid II, but I feel like this is a very cool remake. Obviously a lot was new, but the main elements the original established were there. Felt a bit more linear than expected, but hey I like Fusion so that's A-OK with me.

Playing on Normal was a good choice. While early on was easy due to playing other metroids before, the lategame was hard like it should be. I like how Hard is an option even on the first run in case you're super good at Metroid. I'll go with that if I replay the game although considering how linear it was, one run is good enough for now.

88% items and 5 hour time. Not bad, but I have no clue what I could have even missed.

Might as well address my few issues with the game.

Why was there so much walking near the end? I get that you gotta build tension, but there were like 3 waterfall rooms that just kinda existed. Maybe something cool was hidden there, I dunno. This doesn't include the victory lap at the very end, that was cute and not too long.

Letting you leave the first Omega fight is a dick move, as you can't go back to Save/Heal until it dies. There's no real reason to leave that room besides getting the SM capsule to the right early, so I just kinda had to die as all its health came back and I wasn't the best at dodging it yet.

Not an issue, but I did like how the overworld music becomes more moody once you find the research team dead. Music overall was goood.

Overall, super fun fangame and I really should play Zero Mission. Glad you Metroid fans got something fun to play even if it ain't official.
