The Game Cube deserved to fail!

What controllers do you recommend getting, that emulate the feel and sensitivity of older controllers like the SNES, N64, and Gamecube controllers? I've been wanting to emulate a fair amount of games that I used to love playing when I had the physical copies, but haven't had a good controller to use; sometimes, an X-box or Playstation controller just doesn't feel the same, and occasionally the ergonomics hamper the experience because the button layout doesn't match what the developer initially intended. I have a shitty SNES controller already but it often doesn't feel right when emulating Gameboy games either, the buttons too far apart and sometimes far stiffer.

Why is there no NGC controller in this thread. There will never be one more comfortable controller for me.
