As for the LM1881, I think I'm going to contact the seller on neo-geo and see about heading in that direction. I'm not using a TV or monitor that NEEDs composite video for sync, so making the move over to composite sync will hopefully happen without many problems.

If and when I do end up "deep cleaning" it, I'd like to try to document or at least photograph the various boards and the like in depth.

As for audio:
The PVM's mono speaker isn't bad by any means, but I've got all audio for that piped to a switch(which is also being fed from my HS420 which I believe is on its way out) out to an Fisher CA-38 amplifier that I picked up at a flea market last June or July for $5.
From there I can either plug in a pair of mdr 7506 headphones, or Klipsch KG4 floorstanders. The amp isn't able to get near what the KGs can take, but in this small room, anything over half volume is down right painful.

The Mitsubishi on the other hand, has very nice and loud stereo speakers built in, along side a built in power amplifier for powering speakers(such as the KG4s). Any systems that I've had connected up to it have just been using their normal stereo connections, and the laptop is connected through a 3.5mm to 2RCA cable. Again, a lack of documentation makes it hard to say what the amplifier is rated for; The built in speakers appear to be marked as 8ohm 1.6w in one of my photos, but I could be reading that wrong.

Also, I am absolutely terrible at MvC1.
