I got this game when I was 5 years old. I played it from the time I got it in 1993 until my genesis broke in 2000.

Not once, even with multiple continues, did I ever beat the final boss. Even Metal Sonic was a challenge.

It wasn't until I was in college that I finally beat the game. I was playing the Mega Collection on the Gamecube.

It wasn't just that the final boss was difficult. It's that it took me about 15 years.
