Yeah the hippo/giraffe section used to filter me as a kid most of the time. I think I got past it very rarely and I remember being hyper as fuck that simba could claw shit as an adult.

I never could get very far in Comix Zone. It was like the final boss of my genesis. I could beat MK2 Shao Kahn but not even the first level of a comic Zone.

The Genesis Outrun games are the worst ports in the series, choppy graphics and subpar draw distances make it almost unplayable. The PC engine ports will always be superior.

This game was muy 90's, it was the definition of "rad".

Started playing the Genesis version of this last night.

>Design style
>Level traversal mechanics
>Pacing

Is it just me or is this game seriously underrated? My only criticism is that it's short, is there anything similar out there?

Once you learn to fight by alternating between punches and kicks the game's difficulty becomes average.

Also, on a sidenote, I could have sworn that I read somewhere as a kid that Red Hot Chili Peppers had a hand in composing the music for this game? I went on into adulthood thinking this and found out it wasn't true at all. Why did I think this? Berenstain?

Tried out that Genesis plus GX Emulator. And I have gotten into Comix Zone.
