Different strokes for different blokes I guess. Personally I like the first Mother just as much as the others. It has the most memorable tunes, the most relatable characters and the world are writing are top notch. Not to mention that for its time it was pretty revolutionary. I just have a special love for the first Mother. I can see why it would be considered inferior, but I don't think it deserves all the shit it gets.
