don't let the scrubs push you away from this true JRPG that will kick your ass if you go about it the right way. So if you enjoy choosing nightmare mode in games. This is a perfect game for you.
i will talk about the character choices a bit.


Lute : this is the staple character. He may be considered the weakest, but his story is straight exploration off the bat. Enjoyable playthrough to leave for last.

Red: A super hero who can only use his powers when humans are not in his group. Very enjoyable character to start the game off with. He gets unique teamates and the super hero powers are top notch.

blue: probably the best story to start off with. He ends up with all the magic in the game and is all around a bad ass. Like lute, he starts off with exploration right away.

riki: a animal class character. my specific least favorite character. Apparantly it has the toughest boss battles and you will be gathering a ton of other animal teamates. very unique story

emelia: a super model turned hero after her boyfriend got murked on. her story is pretty straight forward and enjoyable, but like lute. she is a bit weak and will need to be trained quite a bit before the final boss fight.

asellus: the most unique story in the game. a mystic who is also part human. she is up there with red with awesome powers. She will gather up the most mystic characters and its filled with goth for all those goth lovers.

T260G: the robot character. He will get the most robot teamates and in my opnion, one of the best characters to play and feel like a overpowered god. Tons of mech battles and transformations.
