Dumbass without a clue needs to fucking leave already...
-CRTs do have lag
-scalers don't display an image
-CRTs can't display past their refresh rate

Holyshit...

No where did I say CRTs "display a whole line at a time". I said they draw a line at a time.

>Interlaced video is made up of two frames.
It's made up of 2 fields dumbass. 2 frames would be twice as slow as progressive.

>line by line just like 240p. In the next frame the beam does the same thing but in the scan lines instead of retracing the original. That's why you have scan lines in 240p and flicker in 480i.
240p is even fields displayed twice.
The mask on a CRT causes scanlines and they're viewable with 480i content also. 240p just makes them darker.

I don;t know how the DC gun works so.

The console doing something to the signal doesn't change how a CRT works.

Don;t forget the retron/clone systems and filters.

The Janitors also delete the xrgb threads constantly. Meanwhile they let the 3rd world posters have their clone systems threads...

If the flashcart is directly feeding data in the same matter as the original hardware then it’s neither. It’s simply hardware at that point. Guess you could call it a repro.

“Emulation is what we do when we try to make one system behave like or imitate a different system.”

“Virtualization is a technique for using computing resources and devices in a completely functional manner regardless of their physical layout or location.”

Emulation is what you play on the PC.
Virtualization is what a flachcart does. An example being N64 EverDrive which takes all the roms and puts them into a menu to choose from. Certain things are changed but it’s the ones and zero of the rom that are in a real game and the real hardware is playing it.
