It's not, I mean, they've released a few pseudo-3D clients across the years, but those just used 3d models for characters and objects on top of 2D textures making up the world.

So, I've decided to play the Ultima games in preparation for Shroud of the Avatar. I've never played a single one of them but from my research I greatly approve of Richard's design sense.

I am forcing myself to start on Ultima 1 (don't care about Akalabeth, can't buy it on GOG) and my only experience with the ultima series is a free month trial of Ultima Online about 7 years ago. How fucked am I with figuring these games out myself?

Why is this game so good? I keep coming back to it after playing all the other shit fest mmos.

Now I found a server that is pre UO:R with all the great pk action, statloss and tank magery asshatting.

Who want's to kill virtual people?
