I know you're probably joking, but I think that half of the monsters are failed experiments/rejects or even un-intended transformations, notably anything small and the Glutton who according to Aya shaped up from several rejects.

I thought the skull crystal only affected weapons? Does that mean it also increases PE on top of the Ofuda?

You know, I wish PE2 had alternate costumes.
Also one thing I can't stand about the game is how different Aya looks between her 3D model and FMV videos... she's supposed to still look young, but her 3D model makes her look like she's a chubby woman in her 40's.
