It's by no means a good game but I like it anyhow

Saw that Daggerfall Unity was out so I decided to get this.

This game...is fucking BASED. It's so much fun. My big thing is the randomly generated dungeons. Not much variety but DUDE I cannot stop crawling and running back to the entrance to drop off all my sweet loot. It's so god damn fun.

Maybe instead of making a game that's needlessly huge they should've made a game where you don't constantly clip through the level and die or have to reload saves because you got trapped inside of a fucking lever you just pulled or have to reload a save yet again because a monster you need to kill for a quest just flat out disappears while you're repeatedly running away from battle to take a nap because mages can only cast two spells before running out of mana. This game is irritating as fuck.

Come one, come all to discuss the classic game that is Daggerfall! The second game in the Elder Scrolls series with a detailed class creation, randomized dungeons, and the largest overworld in any video game to date! Even if it is filled with mostly space!

Recently started playing Daggerfall. I'm really having fun with it. Skyrim f boys keep hating on it because it's old and looks gross but they haven't a clue what they're missing. I wish the RPGs of today were like this.

I really liked The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall. I have the CD-ROM somewhere.

Why is the map so big? What's even the point of Totambu and the other swamp areas?

I just started this game, how should I set up my controls and any tips for beginners.

So what's the cheapest Restoration spell as far as spell points go?

I only have 26 spell points, but I want to raise my Restoration skill a couple of times(it's at 20 right now), so I can be able to join the Mages Guild and be able to enchant my items later on in Daggerfall.

So what does /vr/ think about this game? I notice the opinion on this game is pretty divided.

I've been playing it, is there any interesting locations to go to, /vr/?

Daggerfall with all the official patches, unofficial patches(reccomended), and goodies such as quest packs and other languages.

Also eases installation and cuts out the dos command middle man.
