That Atari is looking epic.

Model 1 SCD looks so good. It's a shame I have a model 2.

Nice alternate view. Any pics of the closet by chance?

when using 16:9 mode on my PVM, I notice three horizontal bars above the image, red green and blue respectively. is this normal? what are the implications of using 16:9 mode for extended periods?

if you mean 4:3 lcd panels yeah but the only retro console (or console full stop) that works with them is the dreamcast through vga

>Framemeister doesn't do so well with 480p.
it doesn't do so bad. It looks a fuckload better than 480i on a HDTV or even a CRT
There really isn't a super great option for 480p consoles.
Yeah there is, a pvm or bvm that is multisync and can display 480p

I wanted to add that I could have sworn that it worked before, but I recently got my PSIO in and the chip that you have to solder to the board also requires 5v so I don't know if that is fucking with the stripper or not. Would it?

Looks like this was being discussed in the thread before but there was no clear answer. Anyway, I'm thinking of getting a cheap HD 4890 to use for crt_emudriver but the only outputs on it are S-video and DVI so how to get the best picture on a pvm with just rgb/component input? I guess I could use s-video because it looks like dvi to rgb bnc adapters are lacking.

Just track down a cheap PVM and be happy. They're worth it. I have a 14-inch pic related with four port s-video switch box for all my console needs. NTSC and PAL.

I just got one a couple of days ago and have been testing my various systems on it. 240p looks like it would look on a trinitron. If you want the shitty 'aged' CRT look it is not for you. The only genuine complaint I could make is the the vibrancy in just not the same. Maybe if I had a better lcd monitor idk. Also not often mentioned but if you have PAL systems (I have both) then you may run into some problems with scaling and especially scanlines.

Can anyone tell me the best settings for ps2 480i? I am using the official PS s-video cable which is the best I've got atm. Is RGB a huge step up from that? (I use RGB on all my other consoles).

can you point me to this please?

Can a Japanese Super Famicom have the 1-Chip? Do they produce good RGB?
