>what fucking drugs are you on?
That one that don't make my hand cramp up when I'm playing the 3DS I guess?

But then I DID like the OpenPandora and PSP Go so best you disregard my opinion completely.

What exactly constitutes
>worth using
to you? Just so that we're all on the same page here. Is pcsxrearmed not worth using because of supposed inaccuracies? (It's being used in the PlayStation classic by the way, made by sony). There is a video by ETA prime where he runs 15 different instances of GoldenEye in project 64. Now granted, that is a garbage emulator but how can you say "need a darn good PC" when an actually darn good PC can run more than ten instances of an emulated platform you claim is resource intensive?

Also what do you mean by nowadays? Have requirements changed? I've been using Linux for the past 20 years and when I install retroarch on my 2007 t61p with 1gig of ram I still get fullspeed in psx (pcsxrearmed) and n64 (mupen64).

I want this meme to die. It does NOT emulate SNES well at all. Best handhelds by category:

>Best cheap (50-80$):
PSP/PSP Go (has very good PSX emulation and many great native titles), Dingoo A320 (has loonix support).

>Best mid-range (100-150$):
OpenPandora (emulates SNES and PSX flawlessly, N64 ok-ish, still actively developed and over 9000 PC game ports: https://repo.openpandora.org/ ), Mintypi/GB Zero (self-built, time consuming), Canoo (ded), GCW Zero (ded)

>Best high-end (~300$):
GPD Win (what you should buy. Can emulate everything including easy gamecube/wii titles, can play many PC titles, even some demanding ones).

>Also recommended
Softmodded 3DS can emulate a few devices and you have a wide range of native games

Do NOT get anything with Android, even high end devices suffer from input lag that's higher than anything listed here. And yes, that also applies to newer devices that do not use Dalvik. GPD XD is pure garbage and Android phones with controllers have input lag beyond what's fun.

Also I own all devices I just listed and can confirm that anything but RPGs are absolutely unplayable on the XD and Xperia play, despite the dedicated gaming controls.

Oh and one more final thing: I've used the PSP 1000 and later PSP Go as my main portable device for years. It has fantastic emulators and great ports (I must have finished Cave Story like 5 times on that device, definitely my favorite port). It's a great device, no doubt about it. But >>3662190 is wrong. In 2016, the PSP is simply outdated when it comes to actual emulation. I'm even hesitant to recommend the OpenPandora with so many cheap, chink Android devices out there. Many of them (including the GPD XD) are very capable of N64 emulation, something the PSP can't do at all. And even though SNES is playable (with speedhacks) on PSP, there's a great amount of games that don't run at full speed even with sound disabled and hardware acceleration. Compare that to the Xperia Play or OpenPandora and you have a whole different league. The cap there is N64, all SNES games I tested work flawlessly.

I still sometimes use my PSP Go to play PS1 or Gameboy games (or to play Cave Story) but for anything else there's much more powerful devices out there today.

Forgot about that one. It's probably the only worthwhile GPD handheld until the Win comes out.

I literally have every device imaginable for emulation (including this xboxhueg piece of chink shit JXD and the 500€ OpenPandora) but I love my PSP by far the most. But that's probably because I don't want to emulate N64 and I'm also not a total fucking idiot who can't properly configure an SNES emulator.

I also have a PSP, a Dingoo and a high end smartphone. The Pandora is by far the best when it comes SNES emulation and beyond.
