I beat Ecco the Dolphin and Shinobi III on the 3DS this past month.

I know Streets of Rage II is generally considered great, but is it much better than the first one which I didnt like very much?
Is it a Sonic 2 being much better than Sonic 1 situation? (although I do like the first Sonic)

I had a SNES as a kid, and the 3DS feels like a second chance in life to get a Genesis.
I guess I could emulate them for free but playing them on a real console at the right resolution makes it worth it. The 3D effect is also quite good, very good ports.

I beat Ecco in a month (took me 14 hours), I only play 2 or 3 days a week, and since the game was quite hard and exhausting I would only do one level per playing session.
In spite of that I loved the experience. I prefer my action adventure games to be like Ecco, difficult gameplay but easy to figure out puzzles, and not like Zelda that has very easy combat and the difficulty is in solving puzzles and figuring out where to go next.

Shinobi III seemed much easier to me, beat it 3 times in 2 days, and it took me less than 8 hours. I didnt notice any difference in difficulty between normal and hard.
I was expecting a hard as balls Sega's answer to NES Ninja Gaiden game.

I hope Sega continues financing these ports for the 3DS, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic CD, perhaps Shining Force 2 although I dont think it would benefit from 3D.
