Since I don't think there's a shader thread active guess I'll say it here please don't crucify me.

So I was doing something unrelated at the desk with a magnifying glass then left it there and later while I was fiddling with it held it close to the computer monitor for no reason and I noticed from a certain distance I could see a subpixel grid, it adds a very slight curvyness to the screen and despite how sharp everything looked, surprisingly it also feels like things bleed a bit into eachother(probably an effect of the subtle grid). It was surprisingly CRT-like.
If you have a large and decent magnifying glass you can try it for yourself to see what I mean.

Makes me wonder if this phenomenon could be taken advantage of in some way like a magnifying glass in the shape of a whole screen you could attach to it to give it this crt-like effect to compliment shaders or be applied by itself.

Thoughts? Cue the ridicule and insults I guess
