Yeah I see your point, but looking good and playing good are different things.
There are plenty of games out that look nice but are forgettable because of the shite gameplay, whereas we all know of a certain game that might not wow graphically but plays really well.

You know what my main worry is though? What really shits me off?

There will be a dev interview at some point and they'll be like "Yeah dude! it's a great game! played it as kids! we love doom!!"

and you'll know they're a pack of fucking liars just trying to get doom cred.

I'd actually not even mind so much if they were like "yeah look we did not play it much to be honest" because at least they'll be honest. I mean they'll probably fuck the vision of the game but at least they wont be a pack of liars and try to say people who reject it are just butthurt fanboys, hoping to play to stereotypes.

I never liked the way Plutonia used so many brown brick textures. It used them in spades.
