Camelot was more guilty of that than RotDD devs. Not that Gaiden 1 is bad. Guardiana fools had it coming to them.
And considering that the "new stuff" was written and designed by people who worked on the first game, I wouldn't disregard it that easily anyway.

It looks like it'd make a cute charm for car keys or something but I wouldn't want to subject it to that if it's 50 bucks. Also knowing myself, I'd probably accidently beak it after one button press. It's nice seeing Shining basically own most of the console to itself though.

I wish I could better explain it, but I can understand why you think it'd be something hard to mesh together too. I forgot Langrisser I and II got ported; it's still a shame the mobile game still looks miles better than it but I'd still like to play one day. Maybe after I get around to finally playing more of VC1.
