What is the worst weapon in Quake, and why is it the Super Nailgun?

Honestly, this thing is just terrible. Dispense more bullets with less damage just for the sake of killing enemies faster. There ain't nothing super about that when you're taking on a buncha Fiends and a Shambler and have no more nails to pick up.
