not him but yeah the arena style is the problem, level exploration and good item/enemy placements are just as important in an fps as the shooting

Say that the rifle is some kind of AR-15 variant, or just generally based on the Stoner design, the bolt locks back after the last round is fired, if he presses the magazine release with his trigger finger, and at the same time reaches for a new magazine to put in the magwell, inserts it, and then hits the bolt-release to chamber a round, a real skilled operator, who has trained to do this a lot, as efficiently as possible, could probably do this in one and a half second, maybe even one second:

Hell, if there's a round in the chamber already, he wouldn't even need to hit the bolt-release.

I already described this as goofy looking, and could probably look a hell of a lot better if the animation was slowed down but he inserted 2 shells at a time, giving the same reload time, but better looking.

The main part of my post wasn't directed at Brutal Doom specifically, I just always thought the way the player puts in one shell at a time at that speed is really silly looking.
