Interesting how the facial structure is basically the same in both but he looks much more feminine in the remake. The low polycount and abstracted detail in the OG sell him as angular and rugged with dirty matted hair, whereas in the remake the additional polys and alpha textures make the same features and hair seem smoother and softer and cleaner. This is what happens when you thoughtlessly add 'detail' without thinking about the final effect.
