Yes, it's nice. I also use a monochrome green phosphor display for retro computers.

I have a 5" Panasonic that I love to watch things or play games on. This pic is actually my first one, I got rid of it and regretted it immensely, so I bought another for $20. It's actually really handy having a small, RF device for testing and dicking around with.

I still use a 5" B&W portable CRT from time to time.

Use an RCA to 1/8" cable and you can get reasonable video out of consoles that support RF.

Famicom and NES hardware is nearly identical, but the cartridges use a different number of pins. You can play Famicom games on an NES-101 with an adapter, as shown in pic related.

You can occasionally find those portable 5" B&W sets from the 90s and early 2000s with composite ins, but the vast, vast majority are RF only. Pic related. As >>4333314 said, B&W security monitors are typically Composite-over-BNC only, but they usually don't have sound. Household units from the 60s-80s, particularly B&W sets are basically guaranteed to be RF only, so basically, if you find a nice set you want just grab it and use a composite to RF converter if needed.

Jealous, I've been looking for a color portable locally forever now. Got a B&W that's pretty nice, but those SONYs are the jam. Hope it arrives in working order for you, the upside of 5" sets is that they're a lot easier to ship.

It's a Panasonic TRH-513T (just reading from the back label). It's a run of the mill, RF only, portable 5" B&W TV/Radio. I got it at a Goodwill for like $6 and cleaned it up. I have a low-end PVM hooked to a hacked Wii on the other side of the room, but this is a fun and cheap setup for RF only consoles. I posted both these pics in an Atari thread so sorry if anyone's already seen em.

That 3.5mm jack is almost certainly an aerial lead not a composite input. You'll need to run RF into it. I use a Stereo RCA to 3.5mm plug, and plug a console with built-in RF to the Left channel on it, and I get good picture on channel 3 or 4.

Fun goodwill find yesterday; bad pic, but it looks pretty decent with the top-loader. I took it apart and tried to do some adjustments, but none of the tuning pots seemed to do anything where I needed it. Ended up just fine-tuning the VHF signal for a little bit better picture on channel 4. Once I get the 5041Q from Anon of Jacksonville in this will probably go on the desk at work (the radio sounds great).
