Crash of the Titans, while I liked it when it first came out, is bland when looking back at it. My problem isn't necessarily that it's nothing like Crash, but that there are no ups and downs what so ever in the game, just equally dull all the way through. I'm sure some will say every Crash Bandicoot game is just that, though.

Twinsanity left a bad taste in my mouth as far as capturing the original feel goes.

The humor is really forced, and even worse, dialogue based, making the game kinda reject Crash as the protagonist or even a humorous character, and replace him with Cortex, also replacing Cortex as the antagonist with a couple of space parrots.

They also significantly changed both characters' personalities for this title, which should be alienating enough by itself.

The environments are slightly bland but pretty good until you reach until you reach the Academy of Evil. From this point on, it just seems like they're throwing in leftovers from other scrapped game ideas.
They also made the island WAY too small. Pic related, you're actually all over it in this game. Takes away the mystery and desire to explore for sure.

But the sound has to be the biggest offense. I just don't know who in their right mind thought it would be a good idea to hire an a capella band to do music for a game that traditionally has a lot of exotic percussion and occasionally some electronic. It can't be replicated by an a capella band, and the worst part is that they didn't even try. They had no respect for the original sound at all.

Sound effects were changed for the worse as well, such as adding a much louder and obnoxious jumping sound for no reason.

> CTTR

Just no. That's even less like Crash. This developer made Simpsons games before CTTR, and I wouldn't be surprised if they just threw in Crash Bandicoot in the last minute.
