Some of them sound a little awkward when translated, but they have more punch and intrigue to them, certainly. I mean, compare "Gargantuan Masked Fish" to "Enslaved Guardian of the Oceans".

Even Ocarina's Kraut version had more interesting names. The Temple of Time called the Citadel of Time instead.

I've played through OoT several times and have never seen anything that suggested this. The only remotely dark thing about the Poe Sisters (other than, obviously, them being ghosts) is how the purple one appears to weep before you fight her, presumably because you killed her other sisters (or sent them... wherever, since they're technically already dead).

The idea that they're victims of rape or whatever seems farfetched, like a really tryhard fan theory.
