The platforms I like the best I have lists for, the rest I don't, so some of these numbers are precise and others are not

>NES/FC/FDS
358

>PCE
2

>Megadrive + addons
18 that I can remember, probably a few more

>SNES
betweern 63 and 65

>Saturn
14

>PSX
between 65 and 70

>N64
about 16

>PS2
about 20

>Xbox
1

>GB/C
between 36 and 40

>Dreamcast
Maybe 3 or 4?

>GBA

19 for sure; maybe a few more I don't recall

>Virtual Boy
1

And for computers I really can't say but it's gotta be somewhere between 30 and 50. I played a lot but probably don't beat that many.

I had a friend who played Chrono Trigger in these conditions

>x1 size window on a laptop
>supersai filter
>sound turned off, other music at the same time
>x3 game speed, just spam the attack button endlessly
>since that leads to death, also consistently spams savestate/loadstate
>all while alt-tabbing frequently to check on a bot grinding for him in a korean mmorpg
>all while chatting on some message thing at the same time
>the TV was also on

When I saw this, he was doing Magus' castle, so it wasn't even like it was a boring moment.

Point is, whenever someone says Chrono Trigger isn't good, I am reminded of this. This is how people play renowed masterpieces just so they can say they played it.

Pattern learning risk free with the help of a savestate before the fight isn't even remotely the same thing as pattern learning by playing the game how it's supposed to be played. You have less pressure, less stress, are less tired, have ZERO consequence for a fuck up so you're likely to do things that you know are going to get you hit just to see what happens, etc etc

If the game was designed so that if you die at a boss, you just restart at the boss and have infinite lives; then bosses would have been a lot harder.

"Doing a run without savestates afterwards" doesn't count anymore because all knowledge you acquired of the game was done through cheating. You can't un-know that either, so not only you did NOT beat the game but you robbed yourself of EVER being able to beat it.

Anymore saying otherwise is just a coper, this includes "1CC collectors" and "speedrunners" who also "train" with savestates. Pure 100% lying to themselves copers.

>Can't decide if this or that liquid floor texture should be damaging and how much; let's just do whatever
>Can't decide if blue door should open with a key or with a switch that requires blue key; let's just have both
>Can't decide if bars should open with the use button or with a switch; let's just have both
>It's a "where the fuck do I go" kinda map. Again.
Here is your challenge bro:
>*spawn shit in your back while spawning shit in front of you at the same time*
>wait that's not enough? How about I do that closer to the player, in a corridor, while also spawning an Arch-Vile in a completely unrelated part of the map to ressurect half of the level, how's that for a "fuck you" rating on the Plutonia scale?
>puts hitscanners on the other side of the map where they can snipe the player but he can't do anything
>wait that's not enough, make sure their sectors are pitch black too

>>>10/10 Cacoward Best Megawad 20XX
