Look, if you want me to get into it, basically the problem with 8bitdo controllers that AREN'T M30 (M30 doesn't have this issue at all, mind you), is that when you rapidly switch from up to down, or left and right, you'll accidentally dish out inputs of other directions.
Ironically enough:
>Nintendo and Sega spend/spent millions of dollars and man-hours in R&D trying to get things right
This shit is happening EXACTLY because 8bitdo was following the Switch Pro controller to Nintendo's specifications when making their SN30 Pro etc.

You see, Nintendo fucked this up themselves in the first place.
Turns out in the Switch Pro d-pad design they messed up the spot where the rubber "platform" connects, and essentially as you're pushing a direction, and then swapping to another direction, there's a high chance you'll accidentally activate the connection to an unwanted connection as you're switching.
So 8bitdo copied this design for a lot of their controllers (because one of their big selling points is that most of their shit is natively compatible with the Switch, so they were probably modifying a Pro base layout or something), and thus the problem got "ported over".
This problem CAN be fixed with tape or glueing a small piece of plastic partially covering the connections in the middle, but as you can imagine it's not something we should do to make official Nintendo hardware work propely, it's hardly an acceptable level of quality for a finished product released by them.
