It's not his fault 75% of /vr/ is easily triggered and baited into shit-flinging about the same thing over and over again, it's too easy. Like yeah I'd love for a nuanced discussion comparing the mechanics of the Castlevania games and their flow/pacing, but that never happens, and it's always the same posters going "REEEEEEEEE!" at each other, every time.

I used to say Rondo was my favorite, then I transitioned into a X680000 phase. In the end, after replaying all of them multiple times over the years, I realized I enjoy IV the most, mostly due to level design.
Rondo and X68K have great bosses, and some great setpieces, but as awhole, the level design isn't as good. IV feels more focused on level design than bosses, as Castlevania should be (CV 1).
Bloodlines is my least favorite out of those, level design is not among the best on the series, and the constant mini-bosses interrupting the pacing aren't even good fights.

Reminder that Super Castlevania IV was the only game after the NES games that got the lore right by not giving Dracula a "monster form", since the original lore dictates that the cookie monster from the original Castlevania isn't Dracula himself, but a separate entity known as "curse of man".
Games like Rondo of Blood and X68000 assumed Dracula could transform into the monster.
