Nice, didn't expect to get a reply. His music is indeed otherworldly.
Did you know he was a prominent figure in the japanese Amiga scene? I believe he released at least a book about it, and was active on Amiga internet forums in the 90s.

Susumu Hirasawa was obsessed with Amiga during the late 80s/early 90s and made his music with it, as well as video editing.
Probably the Amiga wasn't popular in Japan because of the kind of games it had.
