is Atari gaming dead? I'm not really trying to demean it, but I've never in my life heard anyone talk about emulating Atari games, or actually playing them regularly.

Collecting for this thing is dead, isn't it? What game even sells for more than $10-15 now?

Can we admit the games on this thing suck?

Back when the Atari 2600 was the only real popular console, did everyone actually enjoy it that much? Or was the attitude like, "well I guess this'll have to tide me over until technology improves in a few years"?

What 2600 games are worth playing today? Also do any of the othet atari consoles or pcs have worthwhile exclusives?

Historical impact notwithstanding, I don't see the appeal in three squares beeping on a screen. It's almost nauseatingly primitive.

Is there even a single worthwhile game on the Atari 2600? Not something you play just to get some historical knowledge about games but something fun you would even nowadays buy the 2600 for.

I have barely seen any atari game related threads on this board since creation while the next generation of video games directly after the atari gets discussed daily on here.
