We're gonna make it, bro. Soul is not yet lost.

A few interesting things:
This does appear to be not only a "fully censored" version, but the first fully censored version. The other N64 releases all kept the crescent moon symbol on the mirror shield in spite of censoring the blood and fire temple chant, but this version has the new Gerudo symbol on all of the switches and blocks; just like the GCN version later would. I went out for a quick smoke and did some research, and this version seems to be dated from about 1999 -- making this the first version of the game, and the only "N64" version (since the Lodgenet stuff, I'm assuming, ran on slightly repurposed N64 hardware), to have all of the censorship in place that otherwise didn't appear until GCN releases and beyond. So far, I haven't found anything different from the 1.2 N64 version in terms of gameplay (I'm taking it to the point of checking shit like the contents of individual grass/pots/chests and speaking to all of the NPCs), but there are at least differences from the other N64 versions in terms of censored content (and the lack of save, etc.) I don't know, I have a funny feeling there might be a few differences here and there, so I'm going to keep playing. I'll report back the next time I find something of interest.

I'd like to see a Doom, Heretic and maybe even a Quake user-made map or set of maps that take place mainly in the realm of Naraka, aka the Dharmic hell of Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism, where the player has to put up with fighting the daemons and lower realm demigods dwelling in there as he spends his stay there. As the mapset goes on, he becomes filled with determination & the ambition to prove himself of getting reincarnated into a new body without spending at least hundreds of millions of years Dharmic Hell.
