/vr/ - Retro Games

Gonna start this thread and keep my fingers crossed.

So, last year I made a thread on here trying to draw attention to /vr/'s hidden gems on the NES. The thread got over 210 replies and images, lots of feedback. I saved the thread, and made my own checklist of what to try. After a year of only playing the justin gems, I'm happy to report the majority of the recommendations were damn good. The thread worked for me, and I have high hopes it worked for others.

So, in the spirit of that list, I'd like to create another one with the same intent, but for Playstation (PS1) games!

Please, anons, list out and briefly describe your personal hidden PS1 gems. I can tell you personally the details anons provided are what sold me on all the games I put on my list. I've tried below to create a greentext format of details that I humbly ask you provide. The more you sell anons on your gem, the more likely they are to have a new game and experience added to their gaming life. Hope things works as well as the last one, and I hope many anons benefit from it.

>Any warnings/cautions/things you may not like about this game
>Personal fond memories you have if this game
>Why you think this game didn't receive more attention
>If, by chance, this game got a remake/remaster, is the remake/remaster worse than/as good as/better than the original, and why you think so
