I recommend it because a whole year has gone by and I am still MADLY IN LOVE with it.... all shortcomings considered.. it is still a superb tiny fetish object that scratches the itch left by my long gone highschool GBA SP.

Basically it goes in and out of your jeans pocket easier and faster than your wallet, it is that tiny and portable. And it has weight to it. It feels official Nintendo thingy.
