Born 96', a cousin gifted me their childhood Genesis when I was 6 (~2002), I then asked for their NES next year. While everyone else was playing PS2 and Xbox I was enjoying Sega's 6-Pak and DuckTales on NES.

I could take the easy stance on how gamers should play games they enjoy and drop games they don't, and yet I also wish to explain how often we made do by learning to appreciate lower quality games that we had; Newer gamers can reject anything that isn't immediately appealing causing them to miss out on titles they may otherwise enjoy had they learned what it was trying to do. While there's nothing wrong with playing the best of the best, I feel a sense of death when I recognize some gamers can't be bothered to learn a new game despite choosing to play one. These are the same people that will reminisce as I do, pining for some glory day they believed to be the absolute peak of gaming as tastes change.

Anyways, I'm here because I enjoy classic games. I enjoy taking the good with the bad, I feel it keeps me on the ground. I don't want perfection and I'm perfectly happy playing what I enjoy, however I want, for as long as I please. Who would want more when we have enough? Why desire better when good is great?
