I don't hate them, I just don't know how to interpret them. I love Plutonia because even in a crazy ambush, it's possible to tell what kind of cover you have or where to run or who to clear out to deal with it. But slaughtermaps have such gigantic masses of enemies that I don't really know how to read where I should be going, what I should be picking up, or who I should be shooting first, and when I inevitably get murked I'm not sure what I could have done differently because there was so much coming from so many angles. I recognize that they're probably a lot of fun for the people who do know how to tell what's going on; I remember having a good amount of fun with MAP26 of Scythe. I just wish I could find out how to make it fun for me too.
