I sold off every cartridge and retro console I still had, I just didn't use it much and preferred using emulators anyways as it was more convenient, I do miss my old stuff sometimes, but it's fine, my current setups is essentially all ROMs on newer hardware, like my laptop and this smartphone I had, all I needed to do was attach a controller to it and it was ready to go, it's what I play most.

If I ever change my setup, I'd most likely go from this, and my laptop, to a tablet, since I'd be able to attach a controller to it like this, or mirror its screen to the TV to use it like a console instead.

I think latency and screen mirroring isn't quite there yet though, HDMI surely is, but most low end tablets don't support it, it feels like a dying market nowadays now that I really think about it.

>Phone posters have taken over, chinkhelds are on an hero watch.
Oh, we've only just begun... by the end of 2024 ALL of you will have given up on your handhelds, replaced by the very smartphones you all have in your pockets right now! MUAHAHAHA
So, jokes aside, what are you guys playing? I'm on Master System Bonanza Bros. I finished it, but I want to do it on the hardest settings now. It's an interesting version since it's the only one without cooperative, which in a way makes it the worst, but also the best for single-player since you get the full screen to play on, while you only get half of it, even when playing alone, on all other ones.

I adored Bonanza Bros. for the SEGA Genesis as a kid, though I could never get very far in it... still, I managed to pull it off in recent years, in all of the hardest settings no less! Anyway, after being sort of curious about the Master System version for a while now, due to being its own thing somewhat, and focusing solely on singleplayer side of things over the cooperative Bonanza Bros. is more well known for, I pulled the trigger and... I really love it, afterall it's just more of a video game and IP I already really like! Still... this one's kicking my ass though. I can't beat it even on the easier settings.

I mean, there are no difficulty levels here, unlike the SEGA Genesis version I grew up with, but we do get to mess around with the time and lives or continues, so that's kept the same... and even at everything maxed, all I can do is get to the 10th, and last, level... but lose. Still, I'm loving this one.
