The issue will be ameliorated when we get the next gen of display tech with sufficiently high resolution consumer monitors (8K microLED at high subpixel/triplets-per-inch is more than enough) if enthusiasts continue to develop more-accurate CRT-shaders.

Should I get a retrotink?

The filters look pretty good, but not perfect:

Meanwhile the guys behind the N64 Digital (pic related) are making a competing device with even more advanced polyphase CRT filters and the OSSC guys are making an upgraded version too (with similar features to the MiSTer, but I have no point of reference for how good that might be). I feel spoiled for choice, insofar as these things will probably cost 500 bucks.
