I really don't get how we can even be having this conversation. Have people's abilities to imagine and immerse really sunk so low? Of course we used our imaginations. Why would we be like WTF. If I was playing fucking Golden Axe or whatever shit on my Genesis, I probably had a pretty good idea of what was normal on the system. There's no WTF. I may certainly expect newer games to look better than old games but graphical improvements were steps not leaps.
