/vr/ - Retro Games

I'm trying to play co-op system shock with my girlfriend, but it's a bit hard do some graphical glitches and general oddness. Anyway to make it less buggy and more playable?

Just got System Shock 2 for less than 4 bucks on steam and I have to say it looks pretty good. Haven't gotten far at all but what are you're thoughts? What should I pick, marines, navy or the other one?

Good game, this is a tue survival horror i was reminded of playing Resident Evil or Silent Hill with all this backtracking , looking at map and trying to figure where to go or planning your next move and managing your resources but i think the game sometimes go to far , you can miss some keycard or other little thing and hit a block with no idea where to look for it, very frustrating sometimes but i guess thats the beauty of it, its clunky ,kinda messy but it have a true survival atmosphere.
You thoughts /vr/ ?

Can we have a System Shock 2 thread? I liked it almost as much as Deus Ex.

By pure chance I decided to look at GOG and discovered System Shock 2 was added. Went into my cart immediately and now it's downloading. Can't wait to play it. If I can take screenshots I might update with some of my early progress. For the record I'll have no fucking clue what I'm doing aside from what I can get from the manual.
